The Rattus norvegicus is a large brown rat, native to Western Australia. This mandible was found by my nephew in a sand dune on the coast near a town called Grey. A mould was made & these bones have been cast in solid sterling silver. They are hallmarked 925, blackened with patina & hang on sterling silver chains. They measure 28mm x 11mm x 5mm.
